The wall seperating two nasal cavities starts its development during the fetal life as with the other structures of the nose. Independent of the reason that causes this midline structure to shift off midline, the end result is a deviated septum.

Adenoid is the equivalent organ to the tonsils which are located in the throat and are highly active in children. Sometimes adenoid tissue may get overly enlarged.

At the entrance of the nose, right behind the wings are located the inferior turbinates. The turbinates may be come an issue most of the time due to enlargement.
